Book 4: Then She Was Gone

One of my goals for 2020 is to read more. What better way than to commit to reading one book a week? 52 books in 52 weeks and I’ll be sharing every single one on the blog, every Sunday. Check in for my latest reads and recommendations.

Holy cow, another mystery to add to my bookshelf! I read this one in the two hours it took us to get to Fitchburg, on our way to bring Emily back to school. I normally can’t read in the car because I get car sick but I was so captivated, I didn’t even notice!

A horrible story, to say the least. One of those books that makes you kind of sick to your stomach, questioning why we’re all so fascinated with dark and twisty. I figured out the storyline pretty early on, but surprisingly, that didn’t take away from the book for me.

“Then She Was Gone” is a very quick, easy read. If you’re looking for something to get you through a plane, train, or automobile ride- this is it. I didn’t find the writing particularly spectacular, but the characters were interesting and it was suspenseful and entertaining.

Wirth Rating: 7/10
