Thanksgiving would be nothing without food, and while I love to celebrate friends, family, and the many blessings I have in my life, I also love to eat. However, over the past couple of years my father and I have been adjusting our Thanksgiving menus to include healthier options than the traditional turkey-biscuits-gravy. Veggies are a wonderful staple to have at your table, and adding a first course soup or salad can easily take a menu that one extra step further. I don’t skimp on the desserts though, ever; they’re just as important of the meal itself! Hopefully some of the recipes below provide some inspiration for your holiday table.
