Apple crisp is hands down one of my favorite fall desserts. The warm, nutty flavors blend perfectly with a freshly picked, crisp apple. These inside out apple crisps are a super easy version you can put together at any time!
- 5 to 6 apples, depending on size
- 1 cup oats (I love Bob’s Red Mill Organic Oats)
- 1/2 cup crushed almonds
- 1/2 cup crushed walnuts
- 1/4 brown sugar
First, gently hollow out the apples, removing the cores and stem. Mix together the oats, nuts, and brown sugar in a bowl until blended. Stuff the apples with the crisp mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm and top with vanilla ice-cream or fresh whipped cream.
