Dogs & Jeans
I’ll be content in life as long as I always have two things: a good pair of jeans and a good dog. Okay, maybe that’s an understatement, but there’s definitely something to be said for comfortable pants that fit just right and unconditional love from a little furry friend.
On the topic of jeans, I’ve recently been loving a flare cut with a higher rise. In highschool I lived in skinny jeans, but as I’ve gotten older I find that I really appreciate comfort over anything else. This past week I was shopping and the sales woman suggested I wear wedges or espadrilles with the flare style because they’re longer. I had to try not to laugh as I informed her that my plans were quite different. If I’m wearing a pair of jeans, I’m spending the day on the couch, more or less. The pair I’m wearing in the photos above are perfect for this. I got them on sale from H&M for only $7. They are incredibly soft and have the perfect amount of stretch. Ironically, I also bought a very similar pair from the GAP earlier this month for $7 as well. I am a fan of online shopping, but if you want a real bargain, it’s always a right place-right time kind of deal at the store. I would also suggest always trying jeans on before you buy to make sure the fit is just right.
Now, on the topic of dogs, I had a very cooperative little guest for this post. Dewey is the baby of our family, a 7 year old cavapoo we adopted from our local animal shelter. He’s the strangest, sweetest dog we’ve ever had. If you’re thinking of getting a dog, I would definitely reccomend adoption from a local shelter. If you’re lucky, you might get one that’s as photogenic as Dewey is.
