I got “The Happiness Project” from my e-library after listening to Gretchen Rubin on Rachel Hollis’ RISE podcast. I was so intrigued by the idea of the book that launched her career, I had to read it for myself.
Gretchen Rubin practiced building habits for twelve months, with twelve areas of focus and “resolutions“ to fit each. She wrote about her progress, her observations, and her findings. I love books about bettering oneself and Rubin is one of the best researched authors I’ve read in the genre. Reading her text has prompted me to consider my own “happiness project” or the things I can do in my life to be happier.
Rubin’s voice is strong in her writing and her stories are witty and entertaining, as well as insightful. I really, really enjoyed her book!
