Book 26: All We Ever Wanted

One of my goals for 2020 is to read more. What better way than to commit to reading one book a week? 52 books in 52 weeks and I’ll be sharing every single one on the blog, every Sunday. Check in for my latest reads and recommendations.

This past week I switched to audio books and I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed listening! I’m normally a real book fan, but the ease of listening while getting things done around the house or sitting out at the pool was great. But, I digress..

I loved reading “All We Ever Wanted” by Emily Giffin. I really wanted something to capture my attention last week and this did just that. The plot was gripping and intriguing and I love a good multiple-perspective story. I found the characters to be really likable (or really not-likable) and their voices to be genuine and honest!

“All We Ever Wanted” follows two parents and one teen as they all deal with fallout from a Snapchat scandal. It addresses issues of class, family, and moral standards as it dives into a situation that will get your blood boiling. There were so many points in the story where I found myself yelling at my phone.

If you’re looking for a summer read to keep your attention, but with a little more substance than a cheesy beach romance novel, I would highly recommend this one.

Wirth Rating: 5/5
