One of my goals for 2020 is to read more. What better way than to commit to reading one book a week? 52 books in 52 weeks and I’ll be sharing every single one on the blog, every Sunday. Check in for my latest reads and recommendations.
If you haven’t listened to “My Favorite Murder,” where have you been for the past.. two years? Three years? Point being- you’ve been in the dark for awhile! Let me bring you into the light.
Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark produce an epically funny true crime podcast (the crimes aren’t funny, but they are comedians by trade!) and have now published a memoir of sorts. The two write back and forth on ideas and themes they’ve experienced throughout their lives and I thoroughly enjoyed their book.
Personally, I find that on the podcast they can be a little much, but I really enjoyed their writing and how strongly their voices came out in the work. Their realities are so different than mine and it was really interesting to read their thoughts, perspectives, and memories. Plus, they’re wickedly funny. They just can’t help it!
A truly entertaining book- well worth the read.
