Book 9: When Breath Becomes Air

One of my goals for 2020 is to read more. What better way than to commit to reading one book a week? 52 books in 52 weeks and I’ll be sharing every single one on the blog, every Sunday. Check in for my latest reads and recommendations.

Holy cow, this one was a great read, but a tough read. The true, unfinished life of a neurosurgeon, written while the author was dying of cancer. Dr. Kalanithi confronts truth and morality in a beautifully written text that provides you an open window into his life, particularly, the end of it.

This is one of those books that lingers- the kind that makes you start questioning the choices you’re making in your own life as the author is questioning the choices he is making in his. I don’t want to write much on this one because I really want you to read it. It is an emotional book but trust me, it is well worth your time.
