I’m a big fan of crisp, cool fall days. However, New England hasn’t had very many lately. It’s been crazy warm, the kind of weather I wish we had this summer. However, it is nice to leave the layers behind. The floral pants I’m featuring today are perfect for this transitional point in the season- satin material and surprisingly light.
I paired these pants with a simple cotton tee from Talbots. I’ve been searching for tops like these with thicker material that are both comfortable and flattering. And speaking of comfortable- these shoes from White House Black Market are incredibly kind to your feet. I love the ankle straps and the thick heel; they really provide great support and cushion. They’re a mix of shiny and matte, which is such a cool touch.
Something I haven’t talked about on the blog yet is my short hair. Every time I cut it, I wonder why I ever kept it long. With such thin, fine locks, a shoulder length cut is just so flattering. It’s easy to style and falls right into place nearly every morning. It’s been totally low maintenance, which is great now that I don’t have a ton of time in the morning to get ready.
I can’t believe we’re nearly through September. I feel like after this, the rest of the year flies by. I don’t know about you, but I plan to enjoy fall for as long as possible. One of the ways to do this- embrace new seasonal styles. What are some of the ones you’re gravitating towards this fall? I’d love to hear from you.
