If you’re like me, the summer does terrible things to your hair. Between dry air and humidity, sunshine and salt water, my locks are dry and unruly more days than not. Recently, however, I’ve been tackling a new problem: hair falling out. The first time I pulled a handful of strands out during a shower, I thought I was going bald.
A little while ago my mom and her friends had a ‘facial party’ at the L’occitane store in our town and I was introduced to this incredible mask. L’occitane’s brand is excellent, even though their products are a little on the pricey side. However, in my case, only half the bottle is gone after countless uses. The products contain incredible ingredients and the company has strong morals and intentions, which I really appreciate. I’m also interested in trying their skincare line.
The Body & Strength 1 Minute Intensive Care Mask is designed specifically to limit the fall of fine, fragile hair due to breakage. Since my blonde locks are as fine as they come, this product has been a life-saver. It uses 5 essential oils to soak your hair in moisture. I swap it with my normal conditioner at least once a week.
I avoid using heated tools in the summer unless it’s absolutely necessary. That means a lot of air drying and lackluster hairstyles. However, this mask leaves your hair full and shiny, even when air dried. It’s an easy, no fuss product: smooth it on, roots to ends, and let sit for a minute. It might take a little time to get used to the smell, but luckily it doesn’t linger.
I hope this post can help in fixing any hair woes you might be having. If you’ve got a go-to hair mask, or any go-to hair products in general, throw them in the comments below. I’m still looking for a great shampoo and conditioner go-to.
