Bright Skirt for Spring | Prescott Farms
New England really can’t make up its mind. One day, we have beautiful, seventy degree weather and the next it’s storm clouds and winter jackets. It’s my hope that ‘summer’ becomes a little more consistent in our future forecast. Until then, I’m taking advantage of the nice days we have, no matter how few and far between they are. Last week, for example, I dragged my sister along to walk through Prescott Farms.
I’ve probably driven by Prescott Farms hundreds of times in my life and never once stopped to look around the beautiful grounds. The pond and windmill are both magnificent and on a warm, sunny day everything practically glows. I fell in love with little grove of trees pictures above; the trees held these wonderful little white blossoms.
This post features one of my favorite spring pieces, a long, bright skirt. I’ve been loving the ‘midi’ style lately, especially because I’m studying to become a teacher. When I buy pieces, I often think, can I wear this in the classroom? I purchased the skirt above from Banana Republic at the end of the summer season last year and I love how classic and beautiful it is while still allowing for comfort and mobility. I paired it with a simple short sleeve blouse and black sandals, but I think it would look great with a button-down shirt or a ruffled top.
Now that we’ve made it to June, my schedule is becoming a little more consistent, and I’m hoping to post more frequently. That being said, if you’re not subscribed to my blog, scroll up to the top of this post and enter your email in the box in the right sidebar. Then, you’ll get updates whenever a new post goes live. And, as always, feel free to leave a comment below about any content you’d like to see! I’ll be here praying for sunshine and looking for new places to explore.
