Apple Picking | Hollis Farms

A few weekends ago my dad and I drove up to Fitchburg to visit my sister at school and to properly celebrate the beginning of fall! Come September/October we’re all about apples. It’s an annual tradition to go out t0 pick a bushel and buy a couple pies. Hollis Farms was the perfect spot, with rows and rows of apples ripe and ready to be picked. I was concerned that the drought we suffered through this summer would have severely effected the apple crop, and I’ve been reading reports that it did, but you would never know walking through the orchards.

I put Emily behind the camera and she started snapping away- she even got some great shots of my dad! He’s far better at juggling than I am. It was a perfect day, sunny and bright. I’m excited to head home this long weekend and have a little more ‘family time.’ What’s everyone else got planned?
