Caitlin’s Confections: Monster Milkshakes

Processed with VSCO with c3 preset

Let’s be real- if you haven’t seen Black Tap’s incredible milkshake creations, you aren’t on Instagram enough. I have been craving these since I first saw them and decided rather than drive to New York City and wait in a four hour line, I could try to recreate them at home. To say it turned out well would be an understatement. It was so much fun to make these monster milkshakes, or decorate the glasses at least. I kept the shakes themselves pretty basic: any kind of ice cream blended with some milk. However, a lot more went in to the milkshake glasses themselves. Below I have a rough construction guide for the two I created. I would advise having plates underneath the cups and lots of napkins on hand.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshake – Vanilla Frosting around the rim and dipped in Chocolate Chip Cookie Crumbs. Once the milkshake is added, top with Whipped Cream, Carmel Sauce, and a Chocolate Chip Cookie.

PB Candy Milkshake – Chocolate Frosting around the rim and dipped in Peanut Butter M&M’sMini Reese’s Cups stuck on with more Chocolate Frosting. Once the milkshake is added, top with Whipped CreamChocolate Syrup, and Pretzel Sticks.

Of course, these are just two options of many! Get as creative as you want and definitely serve with a straw and a spoon.
